SOLVED: Wifi Support for My Verizon

March 17th, 2011 by steve

“How do I turn on Wifi for My Verizon on my Droid?”

That was one of the first questions I had when I got my Droid 2 several months ago. The answer was, “You can’t!”

But now Verizon has solved this problem. Today’s upgrade allows me to access the My Verizon app via Wifi. That changed my rating of the app from one star to four.

I haven’t played much with the new app, but if they would allow me to stay logged into it indefinitely, I’d move it to five, I think.

This is still completely broken for me. After logging in using the wireless, Verizon is showing the usages for my Dad’s phone, not for mine. I see no way to get your usage information via Wi-fi if you aren’t the primary phone on the account.

You need to create your own account. Then it works. Go to Verizonwireless.com and register for a new account.
